Winning was easy for the Pit Tootsies at the Long Beach Grand Prix
by admin on May.02, 2009, under Events, Long Beach Grand Prix
Winning over the fans at the Long Beach Grand Prix came easy especially since they applied Pit Tootsie temporary tattoos on over 4,000 spectators.
Even though there was a NASCAR and Formula 1 race that weekend, the fans came out in full force to support their favorite driver and/or manufacture for the Indy Series, ALMS, D1 Drifting and SPEED World Challenge.
We can’t wait to watch the SPEED World Challenge of TV Friday, May 22, 2009 at 11:00 am PST. Besides Joy Stanton, 5 other pit lane girls loved the Pit Tootsie name and logo so I was more than happy to give them a pink Pit Tootsie tank top to wear while on the grid. A few of the grid girls even wore a Pit Tootsie tattoo!

The Pit Tootsies were the bike babes during Metzger’s Freestyle Motocross Shows
by admin on May.02, 2009, under Events, Long Beach Grand Prix
The Pit Tootsies were asked to be the bike babes during the Freestyle Motocross performances taking place over the weekend.
Mike Metzger, known as “The Godfather of Freestyle Motocross” was the energetic leader of the shows. On May 4, 2006, Metzger completed “The Impossible Jump”, doing a world record backflip over the fountains in front of Caesars Palace, Las Vegas. He is the first person to complete a backflip over the fountains, and only the second person to ever successfully land that jump. The others to attempt the jump over Caesars Palace’s fountains include Evel Knievel, Gary Wells and Robbie Knievel of which only Robbie landed successfully.

Training the Pit Tootsie Hospitality Crew is an essential part of what makes them unique…

What better place to have a training session then the MB2 Raceway. They had on display a NASCAR, a Superbike, a Supercross bike, an Indy car and plenty of go-karts. Having the actual vehicles there made it easy for the girls to visualize the different types of motorsports.
After the training, the girls got to put their new skills to use out on the go-kart track. We found some real talent out there! And everyone had tons of fun!

In the beginning… there were the trophy girls, umbrella girls, grid girls, biker babes, pit babes and race queens. Less face it, they are basically all the same. So for now, lets group them all together and call them – Pit Tootsies.
Given the rich history of the Pit Tootsie I thought it would be nice to highlight some of the old pictures. Since the beginning of racing there has been Pit Tootsies. In many ways I think that one of the reasons why us racers love to race is because of the symbiotic relationship we have with the women that also love the races.

Every racer loves a Trophy Girl
